Our mission
The mission of ESN is to provide international students with opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of "Students Helping Students". We want to improve student mobility by giving assistance to incoming and outgoing students.
We also welcome incoming students by making their experience a bit more special, organising events and trips to share our culture and introduce them to the territory.
ESN Chieti Pescara
Our section, Erasmus Student Network Chieti Pescara, was founded the 7th of December of 2010 in collaboration with the university "Gabriele D'Annunzio". We're a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers of any background, but most of us are students. A lot has changed since we started, and even if our members change throughout time, our goal is still the same: helping international students have an unforgettable experience!
Our board members change every year, so it's difficult for us to retrace all of the effort that has been put towards our organization throughout its history. Stay tuned though! We will update this paragraph as soon as we find out more.

ESN Italia
Erasmus Student Network Italia is the network of all ESN sections that are within Italy. It retains all the characteristics of the international network it is part of (non-lucrative, apolitical and non-denominational), as well as adhering to the same statute. Its objective is to favour student mobility:
- Welcoming and offering advice to incoming students through a service that researches housing, tutors and organizes events that help foreign students integrate further into the local environment.
- Offering an up-to-date service that provides information on European exchange programs.
- Developing an evaluation system of said programs through the experience of students that participate in them.
Currently more than 50 ESN sections are part of ESN Italia. All these sections offer a consistent office schedule, where students can ask for help and advice. The office is provided by the university that the section collaborates with and each university can only have one ESN section. The opening hours of the office varies based on each section's schedule.
More importantly, ESN Italia is the organ that coordinates all local sections.

ESN International
Erasmus Student Network AISBL is an international non-profit student organization that was founded in 1990 by ex international mobility students as an initiative of the Erasmus Bureau of the European Community. Its main objective is representing the interest of students in mobility.
ESN operates at three different levels: international, national and local. Currently it has more than 500 sections in 40 countries, with more than 15.000 active volunteers, offering service to more than 200.000 students and trainees.
All ESN sections operate based on the principle of "students helping students" to help mobility students and trainees live the best possible experience abroad.
ESN offers service both to incoming and outgoing students.
Volunteers are mostly students that participated in a mobility program and want to help by sharing the experience they gathered, or students that haven't participated in any programs yet and want to learn useful information for studying or travelling abroad.
On international level, ESN promotes student mobility by reaching out to major European institutions.
The executive organ of ESN is the board of directors, composed by 5 people and elected every year by members of the sections. All national representatives of all countries that are part of ESN form the Council of National Representatives (CNR), which is the consultative and sometimes decisional, organ of ESN.
Decisional power belongs mainly to members' meetings, which take place every year at the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM).

La nostra missione
L'obbiettivo di ESN è dare l'opportunità agli studenti internazionali di vivere e capire una nuova cultura e crescere tramite l'iniziativa "Students Helping Students". Vogliamo promuovere e migliorare la mobilità degli studenti offrendo assistenza agli studenti entranti e uscenti.
Accogliamo anche gli studenti entranti con l'occasione di partecipare ai nostri eventi per condividere la nostra cultura e introdurli al nostro territorio.
ESN Chieti Pescara
La nostra sezione, Erasmus Student Network Chieti Pescara, fu fondata il 7 dicembre del 2010 in collaborazione con l'Università "Gabriele D'Annunzio". Siamo una organizzazione non-profit di volontariato con soci di qualsiasi provenienza, anche se molti di noi sono studenti. Sono cambiate molte cose da quando abbiamo iniziato, ma anche se i nostri soci cambiano con il tempo, il nostro obbiettivo rimane lo stesso: aiutare studenti internazionali ad avere un'esperienza indimenticabile!
I membri del nostro board cambiano ogni anno, rendendo abbastanza difficle rintracciare tutti gli sforzi che sono stati fatti con lo scopo di aiutare la nostra associazione a crescere e ad arrivare dove siamo oggi, ma aggiorneremo questo paragrafo appena scopriremo nuove informazioni.

ESN Italia
Erasmus Student Network Italia è una Rete Italiana di associazioni universitarie volontarie, apartitiche e aconfessionali, che offrono i propri servizi agli studenti stranieri ospiti presso le università italiane ed agli enti italiani interessati ai programmi di scambio, è essa stessa libera associazione non lucrativa, apolitica, aconfessionale, la quale persegue tutti gli obiettivi espressi nello Statuto e nelle Direttive del Network Internazionale di cui è parte. Pertanto mira a favorire la mobilità di studenti universitari in Europa:
- Prestando opera di accoglienza e consulenza agli studenti stranieri ospiti per un periodo di studio presso un'università italiana (attraverso un servizio che va dalla ricerca dell'alloggio al tutorato e all'organizzazione di eventi culturali e ricreativi che favoriscano l'integrazione dello studente straniero nell'ambiente universitario locale);
- Fornendo un servizio di informazione aggiornato sui programmi europei di scambio inter-universitari;
- Sviluppando una valutazione sistematica degli stessi programmi, attraverso l'esperienza degli studenti che vi hanno preso parte.
Attualmente ESN Italia conta più di 50 sezioni attive. Le sezioni attive offrono un regolare orario di sportello nelle sedi messe a disposizione dagli Uffici Relazioni Internazionali o Uffici Rapporti con l'Estero di Ateneo, con cui esse collaborano. Esiste una sezione ESN per Università. Gli orari di apertura al pubblico variano a seconda delle esigenze locali.
ESN Italia è l'organo che coordina tutte le sezioni locali dislocate sul territorio.

ESN International
Erasmus Student Network AISBL è un’associazione studentesca internazionale no-profit fondata nel 1990 da ex studenti in mobilità internazionale su iniziativa dell'Erasmus Bureau della Comunità Europea, il cui obiettivo principale è rappresentare gli interessi degli studenti in mobilità internazionale.
ESN opera a tre livelli: internazionale, nazionale e locale e, al momento, conta più di 500 sezioni in 40 paesi con oltre 15.000 membri attivi che lavorano su base volontaria, fornendo servizi a circa 200.000 studenti Erasmus e non solo.
Le sezioni di ESN lavorano secondo il principio dello “Students helping students”, al fine di aiutare gli studenti in mobilità a vivere al meglio la propria esperienza di studio o di tirocinio all'estero.
Le sezioni forniscono supporto sia agli studenti in entrata che in uscita.
I volontari sono in larga parte studenti che hanno maturato un’esperienza di scambio internazionale e vogliono mettere a disposizione le proprie esperienze, o studenti che sono prossimi a fare un’esperienza di scambio internazionale e che attraverso il lavoro all’interno dell’associazione possono acquisire competenze utili per vivere al meglio l’esperienza di studio all’estero, anche in paesi con un background culturale e sociale molto diverso dal proprio.
A livello internazionale ESN promuove la mobilità studentesca europea interfacciandosi con le maggiori istituzioni dell’Unione Europea.
L’organo esecutivo di ESN International è il Consiglio Direttivo, composto da 5 persone ed eletto annualmente tra i membri delle sezioni. I rappresentanti nazionali di tutti i paesi membri di ESN compongono il Council of National Representatives (CNR), che è organo consultivo e, in alcuni casi, decisionale, di Erasmus Student Network.
Il potere decisionale appartiene principalmente all’Assemblea dei soci, che si riuniscono ogni anno nell’Annual General Meeting (AGM).
